Santa Claus came to town on Dec. 1 at the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce 2017 tree lighting ceremony at the Liberty Lighthouse Triangle. There was much jubilation as there was much to be thankful for this year.
Oceanside’s Sailors came in force after a historic season where they secured the Nassau County football championship. Santa arrived by fire truck courtesy the Oceanside Fire Department. And the Oceanside Middle School choir provided holiday tunes. Hot chocolate, coffee and other treats were available thanks to local businesses Pastosa Ravioli, South Shore Collision and BYGood Coffee.
