Oceanside Chamber of Commerce hosts annual installation dinner dance

The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce held its annual installation dinner dance at Kombert Caterers at Temple Avodah in Oceanside on Feb. 20, formally installing its new board members and recognizing three individuals for their work in the community.

This year, the chamber recognized Maria Heller as "Citizen of the Year," Marty Bevilacqua of Oceanville Mason Supply as "Business Person of the Year," and Casey English, a student at Oceanside High School, with the "Outstanding Youth Award."

Gail Carlin was installed as the chamber's new president, and Jeff Eschwege as the first vice president. Steven Kass and Maria Heller are the chamber's new recording secretary and corresponding secretary, respectively, and Kim Kellar is the chamber's new treasurer. Joe Garay was installed as the chamber's immediate past president.

The chamber's new board of directors includes Fred Pomerenke, Donna Taylor, Jeff Tierney, Bart Ward, Christine Vollkommer, Robert and Kathy Towers and Robert and Betsy Transom. For more information
