Oceanside High School held an open mic night on May 17.
Held in one of the school’s courtyards on a beautiful spring evening, the event gave students the opportunity to perform in a small, intimate venue.
More than a dozen students came to perform acoustical musical pieces — both covers of songs and original compositions — as well as read poetry.
Tickets were sold for $7 and all of the proceeds go to the Literary Club, which puts out the Oceanside High School Literary Magazine.
