Two Oceanside restaurants, the Oceanside Fire Department and students from Oceanside schools all worked hard this weekend to raise money for the victims of the fire at D&D Convenience Store on April 25.
The students, the fire department and Joe’s Crab Shack worked a car wash at the Sand’s Shopping Center. Joe’s manager, Edwin Lopez, said they raised $600.
The staff and management of Buffalo Wild Wings donated 20 percent of their net receipts to the cause. Owner James Bitzonis said they raised $4600 and will make it an even $5000.
Bob Transom, President of Oceanside Community Service said they are still in need of some items for those who lost their homes.
