Rockville Centre Public Library closed as roof is replaced

Posted

The Rockville Centre Public Library will be having its roof replaced this week. Due to safety concerns, it will be closed to the public and staff starting on Oct. 24. The library plans to reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 31, but the work schedule is dependent on the weather.

All fines will be waived during construction and only the book-drop at the front entrance will be available. All programs, events, community group meetings and program sign-ups have been cancelled and will be rescheduled if possible. Neighboring libraries are aware that the Rockville Centre Public Library is closed and are happy to assist residents.
