Rockville Centre-raised comedian Amy Schumer will star alongside her husband, Chris Fischer, in an upcoming, at-home cooking show on Food Network.

“Amy Learns to Cook” will premiere on the popular culinary channel on May 11 at 10 p.m. In the show, Schumer will pick up on some cooking tips from Fischer, who is a chef.

The series will consist of eight 30-minute episodes featuring the couple while quarantined at home, as Fischer cooks using farm fresh ingredients and Amy mixes cocktails. The series was entirely self-shot on location and a gives a behind-the-scenes look at their life during unprecedented times, Food Network wrote in a news release.

“With everything going on in the world right now, we are so grateful to be able to share an entertaining and informative experience with viewers,” Schumer said in the release. “And it is more important than ever to look out for one another, so Chris and I will be making donations to causes dear to us — The Coalition of Immokalee Workers’ Fair Food Program and select domestic violence organizations.”

Schumer and Fischer will tackle relatable, culinary themes such as brunch, tacos, pasta night, fridge cleanup and more on the show.
