A Rockville Centre native was reportedly killed in a single-car accident in Connecticut on Tuesday while driving home to vote.

According to a police report, Reed Latrowski, 23, was driving south on Route 7 in South Brookfield in a 2015 BMW XE at around 4 a.m. when the car went out of control, struck a tree, rolled over and struck another tree before coming to rest in a grassy area beside the roadway.

Latrowski, who according to the police report was alone in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene by Brookfield volunteer paramedics. The crash was still under investigation as the Herald went to press.

The Danbury, Conn., News-Times reported that Latrowski had tutored a friend in Goshen before heading home to vote in Tuesday’s election.

According to his Facebook page, Latrowski is a graduate of the Professional Performing Arts High School in New York City, and graduated from Dartmouth College in June with a degree in history. He was a private music instructor and tutor and worked as a lifeguard at Atlantic Beach over the summer.

Latrowski also appeared in two movies, according to IMDb.com, with roles in “Escape from Garden Grove” and “She Is My Mom.”
