What do Abraham Lincoln, Lady Gaga, Coco Chanel and Jim Abbot all have in common? They, as well as other notable figures from the past and present, were portrayed by Seaford Manor Elementary School fifth-graders on April 26 as part of the school’s Famous Person Presentation Day.

This biography celebration gave fifth-graders the opportunity to learn more about a famous person who overcame an obstacle or challenge in their lives to become successful. Each student created a scrapbook of their chosen person and made an oral report to their peers, family members and teachers.
