On Stage

Long Island Philharmonic
After a prolonged absence due to financial constraints, the Long Island Philharmonic returns to the stage for its spring concert, “Bohème to Broadway.” Conductor David Stewart Wiley will lead the orchestra in an eclectic mix of Broadway favorites and opera arias, sung by an all-star cast featuring Tamara Tsoutsouris, Rosena Hill, Eric van Hoven, and Scott Bearden. The program includes pieces from Carmen, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, La Cage aux Folles, My Fair Lady, Rent, and more. “In selecting these pieces,” Maestro Wiley said, “we looked to provide our audience with an evening of fun musical selections they will recognize, but in new and exciting combinations. It is as if we were bringing Lincoln Center and Broadway to Long Island.”
Saturday, May 14, 8 p.m. Tilles Center for the
Performing Arts, C.W. Post Campus, Rte, 25A, Brookville. (631) 293-2222 or
