Celtic Blaze
The multi-talented Stephanie Cadman and Celtic Blaze brings its unique brand of singing, world renowned dancing to the area in a versatile show full of Gaelic spirit. The performance features a diverse range of talents from Ottawa-Valley style Celtic step dancing to classical and Celtic fiddling. Cadman, who began Celtic Blaze in 1996, is backed by Jake Charron on piano and Charles James on double bass/bass guitar with an emphasis on theatricality. Cadman has taken the show throughout North America and overseas, earning critical acclaim for show-stopping melodies and dance numbers.

Musical Treasures
The American Chamber Ensemble returns to Hofstra with a lively program that includes beloved masterworks and infrequently heard gems. The acclaimed – and now retired – New York Philharmonic clarinetist Stanley Drucker joins American Chamber Ensemble directors clarinetist Naomi Drucker and pianist Blanche Abram, along with pianist Marilyn Lehman, violinist Eriko Sato, violist Lois Martin, and cellist Chris Finckel. Hear Quartet for piano and strings by Carlos Surinach, Gary Schocker’s Sonata for two clarinets and piano, Elliott Carter’s Pastorale for clarinet and piano, American Pieces for violin and piano by Lukas Foss, and A Little Bit for viola and clarinet by Meyer Kupferma.

Mendelssohn Masterworks
Chamber Players International performs Mendelssohn’s masterpieces, as part of its brunch and concert series. This program features his two great Piano Trios, No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49 and No. 2 in C minor, Op. 66. The concert features pianist Olga Vinokur, a member of the critically acclaimed ensemble Trio Vela, with violinist Kristin Lee and cellist Hiro Matsuo.
