Sunrise Highway crash leaves one injured

Nassau County police said one person was injured in a car crash that occurred on Sunday at 5:07 p.m. on Sunrise Highway, just east of Mill Road.

The injured person was transported to a nearby hospital with “minor injuries.” The eastbound lane on Sunrise Highway was shut down after the collision.

The Nassau County Police Department did not provide details of how many cars were involved in the crash or how long the road was closed.
