Nassau County Police arrested three teenagers they say broke into homes in the Mill Brook section of Valley Stream on Tuesday.

Police received a 911 call for a burglary at a home on Bittersweet Lane, a dead-end street off Flower Road, shortly before 7 p.m. on Jan. 3. Three people were seen entering the side window of the house. When police arrived, the suspects fled. After a search of the neighborhood, officers arrested the three, all males ages 14-16.

Following an investigation, the teens were also implicated in the burglary of another Mill Brook home that day on Eastwood Lane. Nothing was stolen from either home.

One of the suspects, a 16-year-old male from Valley Stream, was additionally charged in the September burglary of a home on Hungry Harbor Road and the December burglary of a home on Todd Road, where he reportedly stole jewelry and clothing.

The 16-year-old was charged with four counts of second-degree burglary, as well as second-degree menacing, and was arraigned on Jan. 4 in First District Court. The other two suspects, ages 14 and 15, are being charged as juveniles with burglary and will be arraigned in Family Court.
