Thousands of residents from Lynbrook and its surrounding areas flocked to Greis Park on Oct. 5 for the village’s inaugural Oktoberfest event.
Those in attendance — some decked in the traditional German lederhosen, including Mayor Alan Beach — enjoyed German delicacies, beer and other beverages as The Johnny Sinatra Band hit the stage and performed for the audience.
Several vendors organized booths and tables around the perimeter of the park, and there was fun for the whole family, including many activities and games and a face painting booth.
