A few hundred nursery school children got a special treat on May 7 — the village’s annual truck day. Kids got to explore all sorts of rigs including fire trucks, an ambulance, bulldozer, tree trimming truck, garbage truck and more.
Nursery schools from Grace United Methodist, New Hope Lutheran and Holy Trinity Episcopal churches participated. Children had a warm, sunny day to go exploring the ins and outs of trucks.
Diane Panzarino, director of Grace Methodist Nursery School, said the best part of the day for the children was getting to beep the horns. “The kids love that,” she said, adding that all the adults present had just as much fun.
