Valley Stream Board of Education notes

Frank Chiachiere will serve as the president of District 13’s Board of Education for the 2010-11 school year. Joan Gartner, who was just re-elected to a three-year term, was selected as vice president.
Chiachiere will join Bill Stris and Jeanne-Greco Jacobs to represent District 13 on the Valley Stream Central High School District Board of Education.
In District 24, Ian Wraith will serve as president of the elementary school board with Carole Meaney as vice president, swapping positions from last year. Wraith, Larry Trogel and Tony Iadevaio will be the district’s high school board representatives.
District 30’s Board of Education will be led by Elise Antonelli, with Carolyn Pean serving as vice president. Those two, along with Ken Cummings, will also serve on the high school board.
Pean will be the only newcomer to the high school Board of Education, replacing Cristobal Stewart.
Cummings will be the president of the Central High School District board this year, a position he also held in 2007-08. Greco-Jacobs will be the vice president.
