Valley stream BP gas station robbed at gunpoint

A suspect is at large after allegedly robbing a BP gas station at 85 North Central Ave. shortly after 10:30 p.m. on April 14, Nassau County police said.

A man walked into the  station's mini market and pointed a handgun at the store clerk, according to police. He then went behind the counter and threatened the clerk to give him money from the register. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot in the direction of Stein Street.

There were no customers at the store and no injuries were reported. The suspect was described as a young Black man, roughly 5 feet 7 inches, with an average build and medium complexion. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, black knitted hat, black sweatpants, gloves, and a facemask.
