West Hempstead kids win essay contest

Felicia Binkis and Jake Lang both placed first in the St. Thomas the Apostle Barnes & Noble Favorite Teacher essay contest. They were awarded at the Westbury store on Monday, May 9.

Felicia won for the upper grades (5-8) and Jake won for the lower grades (K-4). Emily Farrell also received honorable mention for her essay.

Congratulations also go to Mrs. Miller and Ms. O'Toole for being such great teachers and being recognized in the essays.
