Shaw Avenue student featured in CAPS calendar

Sulaiman Hameed, a fifth-grader at Shaw Avenue School, has his artwork featured on the December page of the Child Abuse Prevention Services calendar for 2009-10. He drew the picture last year as a student in Christina Kaye’s fourth-grade class. Representatives from CAPS visited his classroom to teach children how to effectively deal with bullies. Hameed is one of just a dozen students from Long Island to have his drawing included in this year’s calendar.
