Applying for jobs class at the library

The Henry Waldinger Memorial Library will be holding a class on applying for jobs online on April 17 at 6:30 p.m. The class is part of the library’s Job Search RX program, an adult literacy and workforce development program. Sidewalk chalk show at the library

The Henry Waldinger Memorial Library will be holding its annual Sidewalk Chalk Show on April 14 from 10 – 12 p.m. Children will draw and create their pictures on the walkway between the library and the Village Hall.  Achievement certificates, light refreshments, and door prizes will be available. Following the chalk activities, children will play with oversized bubbles. Representatives from New York Life will be on hand to provide identification cards to kids in attendance. Registration is requested.

Owl discovery program in Elmont

Kids in kindergarten through sixth-grade can join visitors from the Volunteers for Wildlife and learn all about owls at the Elmont Memorial Library on April 18.
