A flag raising ceremony started off the event. Boy and Girl Scouts unfolded the flag and helped raise it up with the help of scout leaders.

The Girl Scout Chorus sang the star spangled banner.
Enjoying some breakfast treats were Skylar Bush, Jurni Kimbrough and Lily Petrone, all 6 years old.
The Valley Stream Association of Girl Scouts and local Boy Scouts held their annual camporee at the Village Green last weekend. The suburban overnight adventure featured a litany of activities, including a cooking contest, a bonfire, games and educational lessons.
