Cash, iPhone stolen in Valley Stream robbery

A man sitting in his car in Valley Stream was robbed on Saturday night.

Accordng to police, the 27-year-old man was sitting in his car on Gibson Boulevard when another man tapped on the passenger window asking for a cigarette at about 11:25 p.m. on Oct. 2. The man then entered the car and sat next to the driver, saying he had a gun. No gun was visible.

The man told the driver to empty his pockets. A second suspect then appeared at the driver's side window and punched the victim in the face. The victim then got out of his car.

Ths two suspects fled north on Gibson Boulevard, then east on South Brush Drive, with the victim's iPhone and money. The victim was not hurt.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11, 18 to 19 years old wearing a green hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 19 years old.
