CBS television series films in Valley Stream

There will be restricted parking on Rockaway Avenue from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday to accommodate a CBS television shoot for the series “Elementary,” starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.

Traffic was diverted from a section of Rockaway Avenue on Friday to accommodate a shoot for the CBS television series “Elementary,” starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.

The series premiered in September 2012, and is a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, with the detective now living in New York City. Now in its fourth season, the show is expected to air new episodes through March.
