Chinese New Year celebration in Valley Stream

Students From the Chinese American Association of Long Island performed the fan dance at last Saturday evening’s Chinese New Year celebration, in Keller Auditorium at Central High School. A dinner preceded the show.

The Chinese American Association of Long Island, based in Valley Stream, hosted its annual Chinese New Year celebration on Feb. 18 in Central High School's Keller Auditorium.
After an traditional Chinese dinner, guests got to enjoy performances by students from the school, which meets Saturdays at Memorial Junior High School. In Chinese culture, 2012 is the year of the dragon.
