District 13 to hold kindergarten registration

Children who are legal residents of Valley Stream District 13 and will be 5 years of age on or before Dec. 1, 2010, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2010-11 school year.

Registration will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5 at the James A. Dever School; on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Willow Road School for and Willow and Wheeler Avenue students; and on Thursday, Nov. 19 at the Howell Road School. Hours are 9 to 10:30 a.m. for last names A-L and 10:30 a.m. to noon for last names M-Z.

The following documents are required at the time of registration — original birth certificate with raised seal, proofs of residence including a deed, mortgage or tax bill, or lease/rental agreement, and two bills, as well as parent photo identification. Child’s immunization record stamped by doctor are also required.

Registration packets may be picked up in advance at the main office of each school.
