Franklin Hospital hosted its annual Community Health Fair last Saturday. The event was held in the gymnasium at Memorial Junior High School for the third consecutive year. The theme of this year’s fair was “Making Healthy Connections.”

Members of the public were given a chance to pick up free information about a variety of topics including stroke and cancer awareness, medication safety, orthopedics and rehabilitation, lung and heart health, nutrition and what to do in an emergency. They also were able to speak with medical experts.

Additionally, guests could take advantage of numerous health screenings for glaucoma, hearing, blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes. There were also fun activities for children including face painting.
