Green Acres bank robbed

Police are seeking the man who robbed Capitol One Bank in Valley Stream last Thursday morning. The robbery occurred at the bank’s Green Acres Mall location at 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 17.

According to police, a man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash. He fled with an undetermined amount of money and was seen entering the passenger side of a gray vehicle. There were 10 employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50 to 60 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-2 wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, gray windbreaker and glasses. He is believed to have committed another bank robbery in Farmingdale on Sept. 9.
