Woman is tied up as house is robbed
A Valley Stream woman was tied up by two men during a home invasion Wednesday afternoon. Police the subjects entered the Locust Street home shortly before 3 p.m. through an unlocked front door.
According to police, the men came into the women's bedroom and demanded that she not scream. They used duct tape to cover her mouth and eyes, and to bound her hands and feet. The subjects then ransacked the home, taking cash and jewelry before fleeing.
The women's baby and grandmother were also home. The victim was eventually able to free herself and call police. No injuries were reported.
The first suspect is described as an Asian male, 5-foot-10, a stocky build and black hair. There is no description of the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.
