Community marks Hanukkah with Menorah lighting

Rabbi Yitzchak Goldshmid from Congregation Beth Shalom lit the menorah outside the train station last Sunday from the bucket of a Valley Stream Fire Department ladder truck. With people of all religions coming together for the ceremony, Goldshmid said he wanted to send a message of love, light and brotherhood in the aftermath of a robbery and shooting at the nearby Papandrew jewelry store.
