Nor'easter brings rain, high winds, flooding to Nassau County

All of the South and North Shores were under a flood warning and high-wind watch as a powerful nor’easter churned across Long Island Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

A mix of rain and snow was expected throughout the day into the weekend.

Motorists were advised to use caution on the roads.

Low-lying areas in Freeport, Oceanside and Long Beach were reporting street-level flooding.
