Please return my grandson’s bike

To the Editor:
On Wednesday, Aug. 24, someone went into my backyard screened-in porch and stole my grandson’s bicycle and his helmet.
My grandson Peter was the boy who was hit by a car last year on Sunrise Highway and Rockaway Avenue. While he was in the hospital, the volunteer firemen got together and bought Peter a new bike. Need I tell you how upset he is?
We made a police report.
Where is your heart?
Whoever took his bike, we would appreciate it very much if you would bring it back to Peter, no questions asked.
