Posted

District 30 will host a tour of the district’s buildings on Saturday, Dec. 12 to showcase recently completed and upcoming capital projects.

Recently completed projects include new exterior signs, sanding and refinishing of the gymnasium floors and a few reconfigured classrooms, said Assistant Superintendent for Business Lisa Rutkoske.

The construction of a two-story addition to Clear Stream Avenue Elementary School will be covered as well.

The tour will begin at Forest Road School at 8 a.m. then continue to Clear Stream Avenue School and end at Shaw Avenue School. Visitors are welcome to visit one or all of the schools. Rutkoske said the tours will spend approximately one hour at each school, and any schedule changes will be posted on the schools’ front doors.

“I thank the community for their ongoing support of capital projects that have not been funded through any bonds,” said District 30 Superintendent Nicholas Stirling. “I encourage the community to view the completed and future projects during the tour of our buildings.”
