School waiver forms are on their way

Students entering the Valley Stream Central High School District from any of the elementary school districts can submit a request to attend a different high school than normally dictated by their residential area. Forms will be mailed out the week of Dec. 14, and must be returned to the district office by Feb. 15.

A waiver request will be considered only for students entering the seventh grade. If a request is approved, transportation to the school becomes the responsibility of the family. Approval is granted per student, not per household.
