Several stolen cars found at Green Acres

Five stolen vehicles were recovered in a five-day span at the Green Acres Mall. Three cars, all Honda Accords, were found in separate locations on Sept. 24 shortly after 2 a.m. A 1994 two-door vehicle, reported stolen from Freeport, was found near Applebee’s. A 1992 sedan, reported stolen in the 3rd Precinct, was recovered in the Best Buy parking and a 1991 sedan, also stolen within the 3rd Precinct, was found near Macy’s.

There was no major damage to any of the cars but the radios from each was stolen. The three vehicles were impounded to All-County Towing in Island Park.

A 1996 Nissan Maxima, reported stolen from Hempstead, was recovered in a Green Acres Mall parking lot on Sept. 25 at 3:17 a.m. The vehicle’s radio was removed. A 1991 Toyota Camry, also reported stolen from Hempstead, was recovered in the Walmart parking lot on Sept. 28 at 2:50 a.m.
