South High School senior Jayson Rowe hoped his mother, Jeannette Scott-Rowe, would bring him good luck for last Saturday’s Homecoming game. It worked: The Falcons defeated West Hempstead 21-7 for their first win of the season.
South High School held its Homecoming celebration on Oct. 3. The event featured performances by the cheerleaders and marching band, presentation of the elected Homecoming court and banners, and, of course, football. The Falcons defeated visiting West Hempstead 21-7.
