Supports Citizens Independence Party

Posted

To the Editor:

I grew up in Valley Steam (as did all of my large immediate family) and returned after college. Now, as a renter looking to invest in a home in this community, I am concerned with the same issues that have been discussed by the candidates running for local office.

I support what the Citizens Independence Party is fighting for and believe that it is time for an upward shift. I have followed the crusade of a resident who felt neglected by her local government, enough to make her voice heard and initiate scrutiny that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. I have seen my community join together in fighting what some might have thought to be an unchallengeable decree. I believe this desire, perseverance and passion for our community’s well-being will be brought to their offices by Joe Margolin, Carol Crupi and Michael LoCascio.

I am optimistic that the Citizens Independence Party can bring about the changes that we, as a community broken, have only thought about. They are citizens like us who want change and are willing to put in the hours and dedication it will take to get it done.

We need a full-time mayor who is willing to put his community and taxpayer needs first. We need a trustee willing to take on the tough endeavors on behalf of her community. We need a trustee with a plan for town unity and safety.

I believe in a bright future lead by the Citizens Independence Party. Let’s support a positive change and make our voices heard on March 15.
