The Valley Stream Chamber of Commerce, as co-sponsor of the July 4 fireworks show, thanks all who made the evening an enjoyable, peaceful celebration.

The Chamber volunteers Lou Palermo (Knights of Columbus), Bernie Keslowitz (Custom Creations), David Sabatino and Sarah Lincoln (Sip This), Lucy Viggianno (Emergency Services) and John and Andrea Guilde (Two Guys Auto Body) manned the gates and worked tirelessly. Thank you for a great job.


Chamber member Darryl Granum and Joanne Cuomo of Strong Side Studios arranged for and emceed the entertainment: Crossing Midnight, Jennifer Nicole, Elvis Molina, JBird, Big Ro, Richard Arraiga, Al Calderone and Kitty Max. Thank you for your talent and your energy on such a hot night. Chamber member Bethlehem Assembly of God provided bouncing houses and a variety of children’s games to occupy the youngsters, and handed out Frisbees to everyone who wanted one. Thank you to the Rev. Jimmy Smuda and all his volunteers for providing so much fun. Chamber member the Valley Stream Youth Council helped keep everyone well fed at the concession stand.

Thank you to our Chamber member Veteran’s Transportation, which provided the shuttle bus service from the pool parking lot to Fireman’s Field.

Thanks also to the Nassau County Police Department, the Valley Stream Fire Department, the Auxiliary Police, the Valley Stream Civilian Patrol and Code Enforcement for watching over us. And a big thank-you to Boris Klerer of Collision Concepts for acting as the Chamber’s chairperson.

On behalf of the Chamber, I thank everyone who participated in a wonderful event that makes me proud to be a Valley Streamer.
