Three cashiers from the Valley Stream Walmart store have been charged with stealing more than $225,000 from the retail giant through a credit card scheme.

Nassau County Police on Friday arrested 23-year-old Gregory Harrigan of 211th Street in Cambria Heights, 31-year-old Daman Pearson of 123rd Avenue in Jamaica, and 21-year-old Oluchi Nwosu of Laurelton Parkway in Rosedale. The three were part of a group that authorities say used stolen cards to purchase store gift cards between Nov. 1 and Jan. 28. Police say the trio would accept fraudulent credit cards from unidentified subjects and put $1,000 onto each gift card. Overall, Walmart lost $225,467 through the scheme.

Harrigan, Pearson and Nwosu were arrested at the Walmart store. They were each charged with second-degree grand larceny. Police are still seeking other suspects and more arrests could be pending.
