Two men rob Valley Stream deli

Nassau County Police say two men robbed a North Valley Stream deli last week. The robbery occurred on Aug. 18 at 2:30 p.m.

According to police, the men entered Valley Stream Deli at 1021 Elmont Road and sprayed mace on the two employees and two customers in the store. One of the suspects stole cash from the register. The robbers also took a customer’s wallet containing cash and personal papers.

The victims suffered redness to their eyes but no further injuries.

Police say the robbers were also armed with a handgun. The suspects are described as black men, 5-foot-8 with a thin build, wearing dark-colored masks and dark clothing.
