Dog Days
Old Westbury Gardens goes to the dogs during its annual fall dog celebration. Stroll through the gardens with your furry friend (leashed, of course). There’s also an afternoon of activities devoted to man's best friend on Sunday, 1-4 p.m. You and your dog can participate in games, agility demonstrations, along with a costume contest and parade.

Sagamore Hill Days
Celebrate President Theodore Roosevelt’s 151st birthday when Sagamore Hill NHS hosts a traditional fall family festival on Saturday. The day’s events include music and entertainment with local folk favorites Jessica Semmins and Johnny Cuomo performing traditional Irish music from Theodore Roosevelt’s era. The site will host pony rides and a farm animal petting area will be set up, featuring the farm animals housed on the estate while the Roosevelt family lived there. President Roosevelt makes an appearance, in the form of actor James Foote.

Joyful Sounds

Joy Of Music
Hear soprano Susan Mello with pianist Diego Tornelli when they perform at the Annual Joy of Music Concert, hosted by the Friends of the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception. Bishop Thomas V. Daily, Bishop Emeritus of Brooklyn and Monsignor James M. McDonald, former rector of the seminary, will be honored at the concert. Proceeds support programs and enable the seminary to fulfill its mission of education and formation of priests and the preparation of men and women for lay ministry in their parishes.
