Willow Road students attend 'Lights on for Education'

Antonio Buccellato, a fourth-grader at Willow Road School in Franklin Square, looked over a weaving project with his mother, Nicole, during the Lights on for Education Program last Thursday evening at Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School. Antonio will get to do the project next year as a fifth-grader.

Willow Road School students participated in the Lights on for Education Program, held at Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School on April 26.

The Lights on for Education Program focuses on emotional literacy and highlights four anchors — Mood Meters, Blueprints, Meta Moments and Charters — and emphasizes vocabulary development as part of literacy education.
