Mostly Cloudy Peaceful art takes the stage in poster contest

Students created colorful posters for the Lions International Peace Poster Contest.

The Seaford Lions Club recently sponsored the Lions International Peace Poster Contest. For the competition, children ages 11 to 13 were encouraged to creatively express what peace means to them. This year’s theme is “Dare to Dream” and students from Seaford Middle School and St. William the Abbot School expressed their creativity with colorful artwork.
Students who participated and won were awarded prizes, while first place winners move on for levels of judging with the international winner receiving $5000.
At the district level comprised of Nassau County and Bermuda Clubs, Seaford Middle School student Samantha Richardson won. Her entry moves on to the State level for judging.
