Strides walk brings thousands together

Posted

Thousands dressed in pink came together at Jones Beach on Oct. 15 to bring awareness to breast cancer.

Friends and families from all over participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach State Park. The event, which was hosted by the American Cancer Society and presented by Teachers Federal Credit Union, is one of the largest breast cancer walks in the country. This year was no different, as thousands of participants showed up to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

Families, companies and cancer survivors all came together to make a difference for the event’s 30th anniversary, and have shown just how effective these walks have become for cancer research.
