Gordon Cheung & Jonathan Seliger
An exhibition of two important contemporary artists. Gordon Cheung uses Financial Times stock listings in his multimedia paintings. His paintings are virtual-reality environments which comment on the ability of stock exchange numbers to deliver a “promised land” to people’s lives. Jonathan Seliger works with paint and canvas to produce three-dimensional structures. His works are included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Museum, among others. Through Jan. 3. Something’s A Foot: Small Works from The Hofstra University Museum Collection
An exhibit of intimate, small-scale works, from the Hofstra University Museum Collection. Mediums range from paint, pencil, wood, metal, and stone to ceramics. Opening Jan. 4 through Sept. 12. Long Island Moderns: Artists on the North Shore from Edward Steichen to Cindy Sherman

A Long Island View

Norman Rockwell
An exhibit of Saturday Evening Post illustrator Norman Rockwell’s images that defined America and Americans, in this country and abroad.
