Six delightful stories come to life in Theatreworks USA’s charming new musical revue “Duck for President & Other Story Books,” presented at Landmark’s Jeanne Rimsky Theater, Saturday, April 30, at 2 p.m.

Performed by a five-member cast who portray dozens of characters from these beloved stories, this delightful show will entertain families who will see some of their favorite stories take on a new form. In “Duck For President,” based on the book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin, the winds of change are blowing and the politically ambitious Duck is leading the way.

In “Fancy Nancy,” by Jane O’Conner, Nancy just doesn’t understand why she’s the only one who appreciates the value of frilly accessories, and a prodigious vocabulary.

“Babymouse, The Musical,” by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, features the irresistable Babymouse, who is trying to win the lead in the school musical.

“I Have To Go,” adapted from the book by Robert Munsch, relates the story of Andrew and his objection to the restroom.

In “Leonardo, The Terrible Monster,” by Mo Williams, Leonardo decides it’s better to be a wonderful friend than a terrible monster.

The last segment, based on “Pirates Don’t Change Diapers,” by Melinda Long, tells the story of Jeremy and his friends and what happens when Jeremy’s little sister is disturbed on a search for buried treasure. Tickets are $18, available at (516) 767-6444 or www.landmarkonmainstreet.org.
