Overcast Local boys to join young leaders at national conference

Three recent graduates of the Cornwell Avenue Elementary School in West Hempstead, from left, Liam Brew, Joseph Di Miceli and Matthew Arasmo, were accepted into the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, which will take place from Oct. 9 to 14.
The boys will represent the Cornwell Avenue school at the leadership program, to which they were nominated by their teacher, Jennifer Corrado, who recognized their scholastic merit, maturity and strength of character.
Each of the three students possesses high academic achievement and graduated elementary with awards in all fields. They will attend West Hempstead Middle School in the fall.
The JrNYLC is sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council.
