Drug deal gone bad
Nassau County police arrested a 17-year-old West Hempstead teen last week for dealing drugs to another teen and then slashing him with a knife.
Matthew Sinatro
According to detectives with the Third Squad, Matthew Sinatro, of Wilson Street, went to Marcellus Street and Jackson Avenue in Mineola on Oct. 4 around 12:30 a.m. to sell marijuana to a 17-year-old boy, who fled the scene without paying for the drugs. Sinatro pursued the teen, locating him at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Beebe Road, and then using a knife to cut the boy on his face, arms and torso.
The victim was removed to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
