Malverne's Summer of STEM heats up

Malverne’s Summer of STEM program is introducing middle school students to the fun side of science, technology, engineering and math while preparing them for success during the upcoming school year.

During Coding class, students created colorful and comical interactive presentations that included animated characters sharing a joke with the class. This project allowed for creative freedom and helped hone their problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Students in the Fun with Science class donned their safety goggles and engaged in hands-on experiments in the high school lab, including using test tubes and indicator solution to determine whether different liquids are an acid or a base. The students watched as their concoctions bubbled and changed colors and recorded the details in their science journals.
