The New York Institute of Technology hosted a student convocation for their medical and health professions at the Tilles Center at CW Post where Dr. Michele Reed, of West Hempstead, received the Riland Medal of Public Service, one of the highest awards conferred by NYIT.

Dr. Reed is a family medicine physician in Rosedale and Garden City and also serves as the school district physician for Malverne and Roosevelt.

Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby presented Dr. Reed with a Certificate of Recognition and offered her heartfelt congratulations.
