Students in the Sheila Dempsey’s Language in the Community class and Career Exploration classes at West Hempstead High School recently celebrated Autism Awareness Month by creating puzzle piece keychains using a 3-D printer.
The students began preparations for the project in February, using the 3-D modeling program Tinkercad to create their designs. They printed the key chains daily and distributed one to each staff member in the building.
