Andria Arena, Kathleen Dunne, Rosalie Norton, Cathy Walsh, Ed Miller and Manny Martinez celebrated another successful event of fine cuisine and entertainment, hosted by the West Hempstead Community Support and Civic Association.

On March 8, the West Hempstead Community Support and Civic Association hosted its Evening of Wine and Roses fundraiser at the West Hempstead Firehouse, in which guests enjoyed sample pairings of chocolates and wines, light fare such as vegetable crudités and hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes and rose bouquets. Pianist Ozzie Machado also played classical music to add some ambiance to the elegant evening.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the association’s project to build a 9/11 memorial, which will feature a slab of steel from the World Trade Center, at Halls Pond Park by September.
